【国際協力　～　安居総裁　バンコク出張】

　 2007年12月6日から9日まで4日間にわたり、当公庫安居総裁はタイを訪れ、タイ国スラユット首相とニット外相を表敬訪問しました。
　 首相と外相の両名との面談において、中小公庫が2008年10月に他の3つの政府系金融機関と統合すること、そして安居総裁が新機関の新しい総裁に就任する予定であることについて説明を行いました。双方ともに、経済における中小企業の重要性を認識していることから、中小公庫が転換期にあることに深い理解を示し、また日本とタイを中心とする東アジアの経済協力関係の発展に期待するとのコメントがありました。そのほか、日タイ修好120周年記念事業実行委員会委員長を務める安居総裁の記念事業への貢献に対して感謝の言葉がありました。
　 また、8日には120周年記念事業における最後のイベントである「タイ日フェスティバル2007」に参加し、3万人の来場者に向けてスピーチを行いました。

【Governor Mr. Yasui's Visit to Thailand】

　 From December 6th, 2007 to 9th, JASME's Governor Mr. Yasui visited Thailand and paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Surayud Chulanont, Prime Minister of Thailand and H.E. Nitya Pibulsonggram, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
　 During the meeting, Mr. Yasui explained about the new institution that is scheduled to be established in October 2008 under the merger of 4 policy-based finance institution including JASME and that Mr. Yasui himself will be appointed as the head of the new institution. Recognizing the importance of SMEs within the economy, both H.E. Surayud and H.E. Nitya expressed their deep understanding that JASME is reaching its turning point and expected the further development between Japan and Thailand-centered economic cooperation within the East Asian region. Furthermore, an expression of gratitude was given for Mr. Yasui's contribution towards the celebration projects of 120 Anniversary of Japan-Thailand Diplomatic Relations as the President of the Japan Steering Committee.
　 On December 8th, Mr. Yasui attended the “Ramwong - Bon Odori Dance Festival”, which was the last event for the 120 Anniversary of Japan-Thailand Diplomatic relations, and made a speech towards the audience of 30 thousand.
