【国際協力　～　APEC中小企業金融機関の第4回年次会合に参加】

　2007年7月11日、香港でAPEC MOU（APEC域内の中小企業金融に携わる金融機関間の協力に関する覚書）に基づく第4回年次会合が開催されました。
　スタンダードチャータード銀行（香港）、中国銀行（香港）及び香港上海銀行の共催により、14機関が参加し、各機関の活動報告などとともに、加盟機関間の協力関係強化に向けたプログラムなどについて議論が行われました。
　会議に続き、12日には“APEC Conference on Powering SMEs”と題したセミナーが行われ、当公庫は塚原理事が「日本における中小企業金融」について発表を行いました。

　同会議は、2003年9月に締結されたAPEC MOUに基づき、毎年開催されるものです。同覚書はAPEC域内の中小企業金融に携わる金融機関により締結されたもので、情報交換や人材育成等での連携の促進等を図るため、相互に協力する旨を定めています。
　なお、来年度の第5回年次会合は当公庫と国民生活金融公庫の共催で日本にて開催される予定です。

【Participation in the 4th Annual Meeting of APEC Financial Institutions Dealing with SMEs】

The 4th Annual Meeting of APEC Financial Institutions Dealing with SMEs was held on July 11, 2007 in Hong Kong.
This Annual Meeting was co-hosted by the Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited, the Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited and the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited and was joined by 14 signatory member parties. Along with the discussion on the past activities and future plans of cooperation among the signatory parties, further discussion on programs to enhance cooperation among the member parties took place.
On the following day, a seminar on “APEC Conference on Powering SMEs” was held and Mr. Osamu Tsukahara, Senior Executive Director of JASME, delivered a presentation titled “SME Financing in Japan.”

This Meeting is held annually based on the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on SME Cooperation, which states mutual cooperation promoted by exchanging information, developing human resources, etc. This MOU was originally signed by 12 institutions in charge of SME financing within the APEC regions in September 2003 at Phuket, Thailand.
The 5th Annual Meeting will be held in Japan next year co-hosted by JASME and the National Life Finance Corporation (NLFC).
